Shipping policy
1. Scope
This Policy applies to products purchased through the TT Website and forms part of the Website Terms & Conditions. Product-specific production/dispatch information shown on the product page and accepted Order Confirmation must be read with this Policy.
2. Production lead time, dispatch and transit are different stages
An MTO/Customised/Bespoke production lead time is the period required to make or finish the product. Dispatch occurs when the completed Order is handed to the carrier. Carrier transit time begins after dispatch. International customs clearance is an additional stage. These periods must not be treated as a single guaranteed delivery promise unless TT expressly confirms a guaranteed date in writing.
3. Indicative product timelines
| Product type | Typical position |
|---|---|
| Ready-to-Ship | Dispatch estimate to be displayed on the product page / checkout and confirmed by Operations. |
| Made-to-Order / MTO | Generally up to 8-10 weeks for production/dispatch unless a different product-specific timeline is stated. |
| Customised / Bespoke | Timeline depends on design, material availability, measurements, approvals, fittings and craftsmanship; the accepted Order Confirmation governs. |
| Mixed Order | TT may ship together or separately. If shipped together, the longest production timeline may apply unless otherwise stated. |
All timelines are estimates unless expressly stated as guaranteed. Customer-caused delay in supplying measurements, approvals, fitting feedback, payment, address, customs/KYC or other required inputs extends the relevant timeline.
4. Domestic shipping - India
Domestic shipping is free where the Website/checkout expressly states "Free Shipping". TT may introduce or change shipping charges prospectively, but any charge applicable to the Order will be shown before payment. The checkout total is the amount payable to TT, subject to any later charge expressly requested and accepted by the Customer for a post-order service or change.
5. International shipping availability
International delivery depends on destination, carrier serviceability, export/import restrictions, customs requirements and product category. Shipping/freight charges will be disclosed at or before checkout. Cash on Delivery is not available for international Orders unless expressly offered for the destination.
6. Customs, duties and destination taxes
International Orders are shipped on a duties-paid basis, and the applicable customs duties, import taxes, VAT/GST, brokerage and similar destination charges shall be included in the price charged to the Customer at checkout and borne by TT. The recipient/importer shall not be required to pay such charges separately upon delivery. TT does not control the assessment of duties and taxes by foreign authorities.
If a shipment cannot be released because the recipient fails to provide legally required customs/KYC information or pay clearly disclosed destination charges, the carrier/customs authority may hold, return or dispose of the shipment. Any re-shipment, refund or deduction of actual return/disposal cost will be determined in accordance with Applicable Law and the circumstances. TT will not impose an undisclosed penalty.
7. Address accuracy and changes
The Customer must provide a complete and correct delivery address, contact number, postal/ZIP code and any delivery instructions required by the carrier. A change of address may be requested before dispatch but is subject to fraud checks, serviceability and TT confirmation. Once handed to the carrier, redirection may not be possible.
8. Dispatch notification and tracking
Once dispatched, TT will ordinarily provide tracking or dispatch information using the contact details supplied with the Order. Tracking events are generated by the carrier and may not update in real time. Please contact Customer Care if tracking shows a material anomaly or the parcel materially exceeds the stated transit estimate.
9. Delivery attempts and authorised recipients
The carrier will make delivery attempts in accordance with its service norms. Delivery may be made to the Customer or a person reasonably appearing authorised at the delivery address, including where the Customer shares a delivery OTP or provides delivery instructions. Customers should not share a delivery OTP except with the intended carrier at the time of delivery.
10. Proof of delivery and transfer of risk
Risk in the product passes upon physical delivery to the Customer or an authorised recipient at the delivery address. A carrier delivery scan, delivery OTP, signature, geo-location record, proof-of-delivery image or other logistics record may be used as prima facie evidence of delivery, subject to contrary evidence and Applicable Law. If the package appears visibly tampered with or materially damaged, the Customer should refuse delivery where feasible or immediately document the condition.
11. Failed delivery and return-to-origin (RTO)
If delivery fails because of an incorrect/incomplete Customer address, repeated non-availability, unjustified refusal, or failure to provide required customs/KYC information or destination-charge payment, TT may require the Customer to pay the actual reasonable and legally recoverable re-shipping/RTO cost before re-dispatch. Repeated abusive COD or refusal behaviour may result in restriction of future COD privileges. No such cost will be allocated to the Customer where the failure is attributable to TT or the carrier.
12. Lost or materially delayed shipments
If tracking indicates that a shipment is lost or materially delayed, TT will coordinate with the carrier and may require completion of a carrier investigation before replacing/refunding, provided the investigation is completed within a reasonable period and does not defeat a mandatory consumer remedy. If a shipment is confirmed lost before delivery, TT will offer an appropriate replacement or refund, subject to stock/product category and Applicable Law.
13. Material production or delivery delay
Production and delivery estimates may be affected by craftsmanship requirements, material availability, customer approvals, logistics disruption, customs, remote serviceability or force majeure. TT will use reasonable efforts to communicate a material delay and revised estimate. If goods are delivered later than the stated schedule in circumstances where Applicable Law requires cancellation/return/refund and the delay is not caused by a recognised exception or Customer default, TT will provide the applicable remedy.
14. Partial shipments and split delivery
TT may ship items together or separately depending on readiness, product category, destination and operational efficiency. If a split shipment would create an additional TT-imposed charge not already disclosed, TT will obtain the Customer's acceptance before imposing that charge unless the cost is attributable to a later Customer-requested change and is permitted by law.
15. Visible damage, tampering or wrong delivery
Where the parcel is visibly damaged/tampered or clearly contains the wrong item/missing component, please report it within 48 hours for priority evidence handling and preserve the outer package, shipping label, tags and product. The substantive remedy is governed by the Return, Exchange, Cancellation & Refund Policy. The 48-hour evidence window does not extinguish a latent or non-waivable claim.
16. Return shipping
Reverse-logistics charges are governed by the Return Policy. Where the return is due to a verified TT-attributable defect, material transit damage, wrong item or material non-conformity, TT will bear reasonable return shipping where required by law or the approved remedy. For a discretionary change-of-mind exchange/store-credit return, the policy may allocate shipping as expressly disclosed.
17. Customer support and grievance
Shipping queries: info@taruntahiliani.com;. Please quote the Order ID and tracking number. Consumer complaints will be handled through the grievance mechanism stated in the Website Terms & Conditions.
